The art of vinification and storing wines in amphoras has around 8.000 years. The roots of this unique process are in the Caucasus region, in Georgia, having spread after over the Old World until it arrived to Portugal, around 2.000 years ago. In the early days of winemaking, the amphoras had a double role for producing and transporting wine, allowing it to arrive in perfect consumption conditions to its destination.

The Terracotta Wine Imports, a project of Rocim, aims to select and make available a few amphora wines from different areas of the globe, that can evidently stand for the authenticity of their origin.
