Rocim universe

BELA LUZ

The Bela Luz vineyard is located in the Douro Demarcated Region, Cima Corgo sub-region. In this old vineyard, this plant with the scientific name Thymus mastichina is abundant and was the main inspiration in the creation of this wine.

RAIO DE LUZ

Raio de Luz is produced from old vines from the three sub-regions of the Douro. It brings together the freshness of Baixo Corgo, the complexity of Cima Corgo and the richness of Douro Superior.

O ESTRANGEIRO

Our first Dão wines finally fulfill the desire to produce in a very special region, but in which we are “foreigners”. And this was precisely the name we gave to these wines, made with grapes from three old vineyards in Gouveia, Nelas and Silgueiros, which contribute to their unique character.

VALE DA MATA

Vale da Mata was the name of a small vineyard located in the foothills of Serra de Aire, in Cortes, where grandfather Manuel says he made the best wine of his long life as a farmer. He was the one who gave the name to this wine, which his granddaughter Catarina had the pleasure of helping to design. Vale da Mata recovers a family tradition and the return of good wines to a peculiar land that is part of Rocim’s history. This project is a blessing. Almost a dream. We want the wine to be the same too. Respecting the natural vocation of the region’s terroir, Vale da Mata wines have an Atlantic profile.

HERDADE DO ROCIM

The “Herdade do Rocim” brand best captures our identity, our terroir. These are genuine wines, produced from the knowledge and passion of generations who have always had the greatest respect and tenderness for the land.

QUINTA DA PEDRAGOSA

Quinta da Pedragosa Algarve wines are born from a partnership between Rocim and Quinta da Pedragosa, a family property located in the Lagos region, very close to the Atlantic Ocean. The cool, temperate climate and clay-limestone soils help to produce exceptional grapes, in a 25-year-old vineyard planted on 2,4 hectares. The result are wines with a unique interpretation of the Algarve, in a project inspired by Rocim.

OCEÂNICO

The first wine produced by Rocim in the Azores, on Pico Island, is also a tribute to the archipelago. Inspired by the Azorean islands, where, as Sophia de Mello Breyner said, “the sea is bigger”, the Arinto dos Açores house was vinified in order to highlight the characteristics of this unique and unrepeatable terroir. Like the islands, it is an engaging, vibrant and mysterious wine.
